Blue Velvet: BEST OF MFW

Roberto Cavalli

Dolce & Gabbana

Moschino Cheap & Chic

I have to admit, I was anticipating the Dolce&Gabbana show more than anything, since they always design such beautiful pieces- the F/W 2010 show with the black sequins was ah-mazing! However I didn't expect much from Dsquared2, since it's not one of my favorites when it comes to womenswear. But after this show, I've totally changed my mind! I was so impressed by the designs, the amazing crystal-encrusted short and sweater, the satin black short shorts and the leather skirt! Dean & Dan definitely blew my mind!
Now when it comes to the other italian brands, I enjoyed the Iceberg show, especially the blue pants-turquoise shirt-sequin jacket that I've posted here as well. Giorgio Armani and Roberto Cavalli had more evening pieces, with Armani having all these sequins, dark blue long dresses, while Cavalli had all the beads and the fringes and the revealing-too-much-skin looks. Definitely making a statement!
Prada.. Well what can I say, I liked the colours and the minimalistic style and the.. alternative! It was something that we haven't seen before.
Of course Dolce&Gabbana didn't let me down; in my opinion the show couldn't be compared to the F/W 2010 one, but.. that's why seasons change and new collections come out anyway! I'm really into lace and babydolls right now, and this collection had both. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana celebrated the 25th anniversary of their business with a much-anticipated, all-black-and-white fashion show. I guess this is how they do.
