Blue Velvet: I WANT LANVIN NOT DIAMONDS (DO I?)

I WANT LANVIN NOT DIAMONDS (DO I?)

So I know that probably every single fashion blog has made a post about the Lanvin for H&M newly released preview of the collection, and that's why I didn't want to be just ANOTHER blog praising Alber Elbaz's work, but I really felt like expressing myself after seeing all the clothes.
First of all, I have to point out what an excellent work Alber Elbaz did. I mean come on, he had to design luxury clothing for an under $350 budget. And he gave this whole thing more than just a thought (Karl Lagerfeld is said to have designed the whole clothing line for H&M in just one day!) Plus he didn't even wanna do this in the first place (I believe "I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public" are his words).
Anyway, I gotta say, I was a little disappointed by the main theme of the line (maybe because I was looking forward to it a little TOO much? Just sayin'). I mean, most of the clothes were too colourful and flower-printed and puffy for my taste. Plus, the shoes weren't super-sky-high heeled as the ones I enjoy wearing. I'm more of a last year's Jimmy-Choo-collection girl, a mixture of leather, sequins, fur, animal prints and glamour.
There were, however, some exceptions, and those are the pieces that I'm definitely gonna invest on: the brown faux fur jacket, the black faux fur gilet, the animal-printed heels and the gold chain necklaces.
Here are some of these pieces:
