Yesterday I attended the H&M Spring/Summer 2013 press preview, where I got to see the upcoming collection up close. The collection surprised me pleasantly, especially some of the pieces that fit my grunge rock aesthetic perfectly. I noticed a lot of neutral tones, as well spanish red and scarlet, while leather, brocade and silk dominated most of the pieces.
Go-to pieces for the next season include a red tassel skirt, an oversized draped blazer, a nude leather vest with brocade patchwork, cowboy harness boots, and my two personal favorites, a leather jacket with embossed patterns (see it in the last photo) and a white oversized knit with crosses printed on it.
H&M declares this collection as the 21st century bohemian look, which is fresh and novel, thanks to the athletic patterns, stone-washed colours and possible minimal combinations, and different that anything we've seen before.
Lots of love,
