Yesterday afternoon H&M threw another one of their chaotic and yet always successful press preview parties to celebrate the store's latest collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela. What you see here is the outfit I chose to wear at the event; Love.God.Fashion cross tee which is my latest and most favorite purchase, with Topshop boots and my Hermes bag held in a more unexpected way - because I have gotten sick of carrying it the way it is made to be carried. What you don't see in the photos is the madness as well as the hordes of people that gathered in the store and ran like crazy to grab their favorite pieces, How-I-Met-Your-Mother's Lily trying to shop her wedding gown all over again. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the candy wrapper clutch, which does pose the question - what should I wear it with? The bag's metallic exterior fits my latest obsession for anything that looks as if it fell right from space. Will have to try it soon and see for myself.
Of course I didn't manage to get any photos of the clothes and/or the accessories, which is sad because my actual plan for the day was to see the collection up close and not get trampled by millions of people, but I'm still happy to have been there. If you would like to buy any of the pieces of the collection, I'd suggest to get in line early tomorrow morning. If however you don't have anything specific in mind, you might as well pass by the stores later in the day; there will definitely be a few pieces left.
