ΣΟΜΦ SPRING-SUMMER 2013
Inspired by the archetype of the young debutante of the American south, this collection presents an epitome of a flirty, free spirited yet composed girl, who fell in love with uncle Fester from Addams Family. The stripy pastel colour combinations set against a black background, are complimented with ruffles, adding a girly effect that is both relaxed and alluring but often finds pleasure on the darker side of life. The collection also includes the well established “tattoo” and laser cut pieces, inspired by traditional greek ceramic art and the legend of Ariadne's thread, presented during Ozon's Fashion Flash . Their dynamic of those elements, lies on the layering of sheer fabrics and clashing prints, creating a total SOMF look.
I have already fallen hard for the laser-cut maxi skirt, the beyond cool 'Athens eats its youth' slogan tee and the lilac cutout dress. Imagine that with a tan. While the collection lacks colour (throwing only lilac, bright yellows and a bit of turquoise to the mix), it does balance perfectly in the whole summer spirit, using cut outs, stripes and minis to achieve that. I'm lovin' it.
