Blue Velvet: going grunge with wet look locks

going grunge with wet look locks

Wet look locks are hotter than ever this season, and they just keep popping up from one show to the other. Their latest appearance was at none other than Just Cavalli Spring/Summer 2014, where runway stylist James Pecis created magic easy peasy, with products that are pretty standard in every girl's cosmetics cabinet, from Moroccanoil.
"This season, the look was inspired by the vision of a girl from another world, with a touch of young rock energy which sets her apart,” explained Pecis. “This structured, controlled look appears wet with overlapping textural patterns that appear etched into the hair flowing behind the shoulders and back".

He suggested usual-suspects-in-crime-during-fashion-week Moroccanoil to get this look, the pattern of which consists of the basics Moroccanoil Treatment, Intense Curl Cream, Luminous Hairspray Medium, and some new additions to the Moroccanoil collections coming up in 2014: the Styling Gel and the Molding Cream.

Grunge is one of the biggest trends this season (and one of my personal favorites for that matter), so I can only assume the wet look is here to stay. Investing in a good package of products can help get from feminine wet look to tough chick, to even androgynous looks.
