Blue Velvet: a houndstooth mixup

a houndstooth mixup

Trousers, Etoile Isabel Marant (everything on sale here) || Top, Choies (similar) || Chelsea boots, Zara (in blue here) || Leopard faux fur, vintage (similar on sale here) || Hat, Accessorize (similar) || Sunglasses, Ray-Ban

hounds·tooth \ˈhau̇n(d)z-ˌtüth\  a usually small broken-check textile pattern; also known as dogtooth or dog's tooth.

Man, do I love this word.

Gave my pattern combination mood another try, this time adding another pattern to the equation: houndstooth + stripes + leopard. Even if it sounds a bit over the top, I believe the outcome looks very day-appropriate and normal. No crazy stares on the street either (aside from some comments on the leopard that is.. When will people start accepting the different?)

So what do you think? Would you go for a combination like this or not?

Personally, when I see an animal print, I expect to see it with something simple; not stripes! The t-shirt is so 2009 and not a nice one anyway.... Moreover, if you pose, please make sure that you bring out the clothes, not your bad posture! Also, even though I would agree with the Aviator Ray Ban sunglasses, they seem like you dug them out of your grandpa's closet, featuring in the Normandy landings in 1944. Lastly, if you want to showcase shoes, and especially ugly ones (thick heels? SERIOUSLY? what are you? a fat 50 year old?), please make sure to clean them first!

Overall, a really bad BAD outfit... You could use a fashion magazine or two... maybe more. This is a pathetic excuse of a blog. Stop please.
