Blue Velvet: royal jelly

royal jelly

Face mask with royal jelly, APIVITA

Lately I've been playing around with lots of masks and creams, looking for the ones that will time-travel my skin to a baby-like state. You see, I've always had skin issues - acne was the worst of them - and I've been trying to fight it one way or another for over a decade now. After receiving ongoing monthly treatments, I decided to experiment with products that I had read they had a positive effect on one's skin. I tried too many different brands and products, which helped me form an honest opinion on a variety of those.

In that aspect, I've decided to make a few posts discussing some of my favorite products that have helped my skin one way or another. Most of the brands I used use natural ingredients so that I don't disrupt my skin's natural state (especially after having read what chemicals found in cosmetics do on one's skin).

The first product that I noticed had an impact on my skin, especially in the rejuvenating department, was the face mask with Royal Jelly from Apivita. Royal jelly is said to enhance elasticity and leave skin rejuvenated and radiant, whereas the honey and the wheat proteins that includes work together to revitalize skin and leave it smooth.

If I'm going to be completely honest about it, this face mask won't take 10 years off your face - apparently my baby-like face plan won't be happening anytime soon. That's the normal thing to do after all: the mask contains only natural ingredients, and that makes it a lot more difficult for it to work on the skin. However, it has a nice refreshing cooling sensation and is just oh-so-comfortable to wear. Once removed, the skin is so soft to touch and feels a lot firmer. It has brought me to a state of mind where I look forward to return home from work, "take my face off" and apply the royal jelly on; it helps me feel so much fresher afterwards.

Sounds like a lovely mask to try. I've been struggling with skin issues for about 10 years too so I know the struggle. I still try out new products to see how they go but mostly I just try not to make the problem worse. Royal Jelly sounds like an odd ingredient so you definitely have me intrigued! haha Lovely post :)
